Final episode this Friday morning. Focusing on jazz and Bossa Nova favorites along with some new music, nostalgic treats and discoveries from hosting this timeslot since January 2017.
Thank you to everyone who tuned in either to this timeslot over the last three years, or any of my other shows over my seven years at KTUH. Many thanks especially to those who called in today, or any of my other shows and left me requests, feedback and other suggestions. It has been fun exploring new musical horizons while playing some modern favorites, even with the difficulty that comes with putting on a regular weekly show.
I plan on subbing other shows once in a while; maybe do the Alumni Show when my schedule permits. However, it is time for me to hang up my hat in terms of being a regular host. I've graduated from UH Manoa in Fall 2018 and have been helping out the station as an alumni since, but I want to give way to a new, aspiring student DJ.
KTUH has been a vital part in terms of improving my speech and communication skills, learning new things about radio broadcasting, and meeting lots of people and other KTUH DJs/new friends, so KTUH will always mean a lot to me. As always, Mahalo!
